First line
PCV20 during breastfeeding. Per CDC ACIP 2024 and SEPAR 2023, recommended for adults ≥50, immunocompromise, chronic heart/lung/liver disease, diabetes. Breastfeeding is not a contraindication.
Conjugate polysaccharide vaccine
ATC code: J07AL02 (Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine)
Contains capsular polysaccharides from 20 pneumococcal serotypes conjugated to CRM197 carrier protein. Conjugation produces T-cell-dependent immune response with memory, unlike polysaccharide-only PPSV23. Covers main invasive serotypes. Adjuvant – aluminum phosphate.
