Myristyl Myristate is an ester of myristic acid and myristyl alcohol. A wax-like material, used as a structurant and emollient in anhydrous and emulsion formulas. Mechanism. Forms a soft occlusive film, gives the skin a velvety silky finish. In lipsticks and balms acts as a structurant – provides density and shape retention. Where applied.
