Natural and craft cosmetics, aroma products, shampoos, conditioners, perfumery. Concentration 0.1–1%. Evidence base. No topical clinical RCTs. CIR confirmed safety at cosmetic concentrations. Safety. Limonene and linalool are known contact allergens (EU Regulation 1223/2009 lists 26 fragrance allergens). Still, at concentrations above 1–2% do not apply to skin within 12 hours of sun exposure. Pregnancy and lactation – use with caution. Topically up to 0.5% – acceptable. Avoid application on abdomen, breast, nipples. In lactation do not apply on the breast.
