About this calculator
The Bishop score (1964) is the standard for cervical readiness assessment. ACOG Practice Bulletin 107 (2009, reaffirmed 2024) recommends cervical ripening (PGE2, mifepristone, balloon) at ≤ 6, while induction at ≥ 8 has a high probability of success.
