Neurological disorder with multiple motor and at least one vocal tic for more than a year, onset before 18 years. Often co-occurs with ADHD, OCD and anxiety.

BPimozideSecond line · First-generation antipsychotic, diphenylbutylpiperidine derivativePimozide is a second-line antipsychotic for Tourette syndrome in patients over 12 with severe motor or vocal tics when behavioural therapy and alpha-2 agonists (clonidine, guanfacine) failed. FDA approved this indication in 1984. EMA and AEMPS support use only after ECG screening with dose titrated by QTc. Long-term treatment requires weight and metabolic monitoring.
