Breast cancer prevention via supplements
Not recommended
Calcium D-glucarate is a salt of glucaric acid, sold as a "detox" supplement and promoted for breast cancer prevention through its effect on estrogen metabolism. The supplement has not shown convincing benefit for this use: there are no quality human studies that prove a lower breast cancer risk. What does lower risk is not smoking, keeping a healthy weight, limiting alcohol, age-appropriate screening, and discussing personal risk factors with a doctor. Do not take this supplement instead of approaches with proven benefit, since that can mean missing prevention or treatment that works
