MME calculator: Morphine Milligram Equivalents per day (CDC 2022)
Convert any opioid daily dose to morphine milligram equivalents (MME/day) with CDC 2022 risk category.

About this calculator
The MME calculator converts any opioid daily dose into oral morphine equivalents. Used in primary care and chronic pain to assess overdose risk. Per CDC 2022, ≥50 MME/day already warrants reassessment, ≥90 MME/day signals high mortality risk. Fentanyl transdermal uses mcg/h × 2.4; methadone has a non-linear factor (1-20 mg/day × 4, 21-40 × 8, 41-60 × 10, >60 × 12). Buprenorphine, a partial agonist, is not summed into MME.
