qSOFA – quick Sequential Organ Failure Assessment
Bedside score using three criteria: respiratory rate ≥ 22, altered mentation, systolic BP ≤ 100 mmHg. A total of 2–3 indicates high risk of poor outcome.
About this calculator
qSOFA was introduced by the Sepsis-3 international consensus (2016) for rapid screening outside the ICU. It does not replace full SOFA assessment. A total of ≥ 2 prompts source workup, extended diagnostics, and therapy escalation.
