Mechanism
MAO-A inhibition + triptan – fatal serotonin syndrome.
Symptoms
Agitation, tachycardia, hyperthermia, myoclonus, hyperreflexia within hours.
Management
Combination contraindicated. 14 days after MAOI withdrawal before starting triptan.
