Potassium Hyaluronate is the potassium salt of hyaluronic acid. Properties similar to the sodium salt (Sodium Hyaluronate) but with better solubility in low-pH formulas (vitamin C serums, AHA exfoliants). Where applied. Serums, creams, toners, masks (0.05-2%). Used in place of the sodium salt in multi-acid formulas. Less common than Sodium Hyaluronate. Mechanism. Humectant: forms a hydrating film on skin, retains water. Does not penetrate deeply (large molecule), works in the stratum corneum. Safety. CIR confirmed hyaluronate salt safety. Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, non-irritating. Pregnancy and lactation – safe.
