About this ingredient
Alumina (aluminum oxide) is a mineral powder. INCI: Alumina. In a formula it covers several technical jobs: it acts as a filler and thickener, adds opacity, works as a mild mechanical abrasive in scrubs, and coats pigment and mineral UV-filter particles for better stability. It is a functional component, not a skincare active. It has no action on skin of its own. Pregnancy safety.
