MIPA-Laureth Sulfate is an anionic sulfate surfactant. In gels, shampoos and cleansers it produces rich foam and removes oil and grime well. It usually serves as a primary or supporting surfactant. This is a functional cleansing ingredient, not a skincare active. It does not hydrate or act on wrinkles or pigmentation; its role is to wash. For topical use it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is moderate. Irritation and allergy risk are low, but its harshness is moderate: at high levels it can dry the skin and leave it tight. For dry or sensitive skin, choose a cleanser where it does not dominate or is well balanced with mild co-surfactants.
