Steareth-10 (INCI: Steareth-10) is a nonionic emulsifier and solubilizer. It binds the oil and water phases and dissolves poorly soluble actives, which keeps creams and lotions stable and even. This is a functional ingredient, not a skincare active. Its role is structural: the formula holds together thanks to it, but it gives no direct benefit to skin. It should not be judged as a skincare active. Because of its topical use and lack of systemic relevance, it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding without concern. Tolerance is good. Irritation and allergy potential are both low, so it fits sensitive skin. Most skin accepts it without a reaction.
