Trideceth-6 is a nonionic surfactant based on tridecyl alcohol with a chain of six ethylene-oxide units. INCI: Trideceth-6. In a formula it works as an emulsifier, solubilizer, and wetting agent: it binds oil and water, helps dissolve oils and fragrance, and improves texture. It is a functional component, not a skincare active. It is used in cleansers, emulsions, and clear formulas. Pregnancy safety. Systemic absorption through intact skin is low and there is no evidence of harm. It can be used during pregnancy and lactation. Tolerance. Irritation and allergen potential are low. As with ethoxylated raw materials, the standard caveat about 1,4-dioxane removal in manufacturing applies.
