In sunscreens, makeup and setting products it leaves a thin, water-resistant layer that keeps UV filters and color in place, improving the product's resistance to sweat and water. This is a functional formulation ingredient, not a skincare active. It does not treat the skin; its value is helping the rest of the formula last longer and more evenly. For topical use it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good.
