Atlas cedarwood oil is obtained from the wood of Cedrus atlantica. INCI: Cedrus Atlantica (Cedarwood) Oil. In a formula it is used as a natural fragrance with a warm woody-balsamic aroma, and a relaxing aromatherapy effect is sometimes noted. It is an essential oil in a fragrance role, not a skincare active. It has no meaningful standalone action on skin. Allergenicity. Cedarwood oil contains volatile terpenes counted among potential contact allergens, and activity rises on oxidation. A reaction is possible in sensitized people. Pregnancy safety. At cosmetic concentrations systemic absorption is low and there is no evidence of harm, but with sensitivity to essential oils it is best introduced cautiously.
