Lavandin oil is obtained from the hybrid Lavandula hybrida. INCI: Lavandula Hybrida Oil. In a formula it is used as a natural fragrance with a herbaceous-floral aroma, and a relaxing aromatherapy effect is sometimes noted. It is an essential oil in a fragrance role, not a skincare active. It has no meaningful standalone action on skin. Allergenicity. Lavandin is rich in linalool and linalyl acetate, counted among potential fragrance contact allergens, and activity rises on oxidation. A reaction is possible in sensitized people. Pregnancy safety. At cosmetic concentrations systemic absorption is low and there is no evidence of harm, but with sensitivity to essential oils it is best introduced cautiously.
