PEG-10 Phytosterol (INCI: PEG-10 Phytosterol) is made from plant sterols bound to ethylene oxide. In a formula it works as an emulsifier and co-emollient: it joins the water and oil phases to keep a cream stable and leaves a soft feel on the skin. Its role is structural, not a treatment one. This is a functional component, not a skincare active: its job is texture and formula stability, not a direct benefit to the skin. So judging it by anti-aging or brightening results makes no sense. In pregnancy and breastfeeding it can be used without issue; applied to the skin it has no systemic relevance. Tolerance is good, with low irritation and allergy potential. It suits most skin types, sensitive skin included.
