Hindered phenolic antioxidant. Protects the formula itself from oxidative degradation – not an active ingredient but a formula adjuvant. Especially useful in sunscreens with avobenzone and products with plant oils. Does not act directly on the skin or penetrate the epidermis.
Topical application
BLimited evidence. One RCT or several controlled studies with limitations.
Functional antioxidant that protects the formula (not the skin). Stabilizes oils, retinoids, UV filters. Safety confirmed by CIR and SCCS.
Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate (Tinogard TT, Irganox 1010) is a hindered phenolic antioxidant – one of the most effective industrial stabilisers against oxidative degradation. A technical ingredient: it does not act on skin, it protects the formula. Where applied. Sunscreens with avobenzone (stabilises the filter against UV-induced breakdown), formulas with plant oils, products containing vitamin C, retinol, tocopherol. Concentration 0.05-0.5%. Seen in Avène, La Roche-Posay Anthelios, ISDIN Fotoprotector. Evidence base. Yener (J Photochem Photobiol B, 2005) and Bonda (Cosmetics & Toiletries, 2007) showed that adding Tinogard TT to avobenzone sunscreens extends UVA filter photostability by 30-50%. This is a technical effect on the formula, not on skin. Safety. CIR confirmed safety at cosmetic concentrations (up to 1%). The molecule is too large to penetrate intact epidermis. No systemic absorption. Does not cause contact allergies. Pregnancy and lactation – safe. Has no biological activity on human skin. No restrictions in pregnancy or lactation formulas.

The Evigrade extension adds an evidence panel to Wildberries, Goldapple, Letu, iHerb, Sephora and 12 more stores. This ingredient and every other one in the product show evidence-tier, allergen risk and pregnancy/lactation flags at a glance.
Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate is considered safe during pregnancy at typical cosmetic concentrations. Systemic absorption through the skin is minimal.
Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate suits: normal, dry, combination, oily, sensitive.
