In a formula it mattifies, absorbs sebum and improves the slip and silky feel of creams, primers and makeup. This is a functional, texture ingredient, not a skincare active. It works on the product's feel and finish: it cuts shine and smooths application, but it does not change wrinkles, tone or acne. Read it that way on the label.
