In creams, serums and hair products it leaves the surface smoother to the touch and helps hold moisture by forming a light, breathable film. This is a functional texture and conditioning ingredient, not a treatment active. It improves feel and slip but does not act on wrinkles, pigmentation or cell turnover. For topical use it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is high. Irritation and allergy potential are low, and silicones of this type rarely clog the pore. It fits well in sensitive and reactive skin.
