Bis-Phenylpropyl Dimethicone is a conditioning silicone with phenyl groups, which gives it higher affinity for light and a finish with subtle shine. It smooths the surface of skin and hair and improves the feel of softness. This is a functional component, not a skincare active. It works on feel and finish: it optically fills fine irregularities, gives slip, and leaves a silky touch. It does not truly correct wrinkles or spots, only improving the immediate look. It stays at the surface with no meaningful systemic absorption, so it is compatible with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is very good, with low irritation potential and low allergy risk, suitable for sensitive skin. Silicones of this type are non-comedogenic under normal conditions, though on very oily skin with several product layers it is always worth watching the overall result.
