BLimited evidence. One RCT or several controlled studies with limitations.
A functional structurant. Safe.
C30-45 Olefin is a long-chain waxy hydrocarbon added as an oil-phase structurant. It thickens oils, gives the product firmness and helps a stick hold its shape without softening from the warmth of the hand. This is a functional texture and structure ingredient, not an active. It brings no skincare benefit; its point is body, controlled hardness and even application. The role is recognised in formulation, with no claims beyond that. There is no meaningful systemic absorption through the skin, so it can be used calmly during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is very well tolerated: low irritation and allergy potential, compatible with sensitive skin. There is no fragrance or typical reactive group here, so reactions are unlikely even on reactive skin.
