Ethyl Acetate (INCI same) is a nail polish solvent. It keeps the polish components liquid during application and then evaporates quickly, leaving the coating dry. On efficacy: this is a functional formulation ingredient, not a skincare active. It does not act on skin; its role is technical, to dissolve and set the right drying speed. As a solvent it works well and is one of the most widely used in the sector. After it evaporates none remains in the dried product, so real skin contact is minimal. It can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is high: low irritation and allergy potential. Apply in a ventilated spot, since the vapor can irritate the airways while drying, but the risk to skin is low.
