It triggers a fresh, cool feeling on the skin through cold receptors, but without the menthol smell. You will find it in after-shave gels, scalp products, deodorants and body care formulas. On efficacy, this is a sensory component, not a skincare active. It builds a pleasant use experience and an instant cooling effect, yet it does not strengthen the barrier or hydrate on its own. Its job is to tune how the product feels, not to treat the skin. For topical use, systemic absorption stays minimal, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding with no expected issue.
