In cosmetics it works as a mild o/w emulsifier, conditioner and stick stabilizer. Gives a creamy texture with a slight shine. Use levels run from 2 to 8%. Pregnancy safety. Systemic absorption is minimal. Skin profile. Low irritation potential. Low allergen risk, but reactions are possible in people allergic to bee products. Non-comedogenic.
