Potassium Cocoate is a potassium soap from coconut fatty acids. INCI: Potassium Cocoate. In a formula it works as a cleansing surfactant: it forms foam, removes oil and dirt, and gives liquid soaps a soft creamy texture. It is a functional cleansing component, not a skincare active. Soap formulas have an alkaline pH, which explains their cleansing strength. Pregnancy safety. The product rinses off, systemic absorption is negligible, and there is no evidence of harm.
