In cleansers it works as a mild co-surfactant: it cleans gently and brings a soothing feel typical of oat. This is a functional ingredient, a cleansing surfactant, not a treatment active. Its role is to soften the cleansing formula and improve comfort after washing. Topically it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Good tolerance: ultra-mild profile, with low risk of irritation and allergy, suitable for sensitive skin. Being gentle, it respects the barrier and rarely dries.
