C18-36 Acid Triglyceride is a waxy triglyceride-type emollient. Its INCI is C18-36 Acid Triglyceride. In a formula it softens the skin and gives body and structure to sticks, balms and rich creams. It is a functional component, not a treatment active. Its job is textural and emollient: it improves the feel and consistency of the product and reduces a rough sensation. It does not correct wrinkles or pigment, so judge it for what it is. Used externally it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good and allergy risk is low. Comedogenicity is moderate (around 2), so on oily or acne-prone skin, in very rich formulas, it is worth watching how the skin responds.
