Chrysanthemum Zawadskii Extract is a Korean Asteraceae chrysanthemum species. Entered cosmetics via 2010s k-beauty. Active components: flavonoids (luteolin, apigenin), sesquiterpenoids, phenolic acids (chlorogenic, caffeic). Where applied. Anti-aging serums and creams from Korean and Asian brands: Beauty of Joseon, Anua, Some By Mi, Sulwhasoo. In Spain appears in niche k-beauty store cosmetics (Yamibuy, Stylevana); mass pharmacy lines with this extract are not yet on the market. Mechanism. In vitro shows antioxidant activity (DPPH scavenging), NF-κB signaling suppression, tyrosinase inhibition (theoretical brightening effect). No direct clinical RCTs on topical extract. Evidence base. A little-known ingredient. No systematic reviews or RCTs. Reliance on in vitro data (Lee 2014, Kim 2017). Clinical efficacy at cosmetic concentrations is not confirmed. In formulas it functions more as a marketing "k-beauty" component; the main effect comes from other actives (niacinamide, peptides, centella). Safety. No dedicated CIR review. SCCS imposed no restrictions. Allergic reactions possible in pollen-sensitive patients to Asteraceae (ragweed, mugwort, chamomile). Cross-reactivity in 1-3% of pollen-allergic patients. Pregnancy and lactation – use with caution. Topically at cosmetic concentrations systemic absorption is minimal. Oral chrysanthemum supplements in pregnancy are not recommended due to lack of data. Suitable for. Those trying Asian cosmetics and looking for mild antioxidant effect. Do not expect strong anti-aging – no evidence base. Asteraceae-allergic patients – avoid.

UnknownThe Evigrade extension adds an evidence panel to Wildberries, Goldapple, Letu, iHerb, Sephora and 12 more stores. This ingredient and every other one in the product show evidence-tier, allergen risk and pregnancy/lactation flags at a glance.
Safety data for Chrysanthemum Zawadskii Extract during pregnancy is insufficient. Best avoided when in doubt.
