This is a functional cleansing component, not a treatment active. It adds comfort during washing and improves foam, but it does not work on wrinkles or pigmentation. Its value is in making a cleanser easier to tolerate. Applied topically it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
