Guanidine Carbonate (INCI: Guanidine Carbonate) is a pH adjuster used in very small amounts. Its only job is to bring the formula's acidity to the target value, which keeps actives stable and maintains the right feel on the skin. It is not a skincare active of any kind. It is a purely technical ingredient: in the finished product, neutralized within the formula, it has no effect of its own on the skin. Looking for a cosmetic benefit in it makes no sense.
