Panax Ginseng Root Water is the aqueous fraction from ginseng root extraction. Contains water-soluble components – polysaccharides, amino acids, some ginsenosides (mostly Rb1, Rg1). Mechanism. Humectant, antioxidant. Claimed anti-aging effect through microcirculation stimulation and fibroblast activation. Ginsenoside concentration is lower than in the ethanolic extract. Where applied. Korean essences, toners, serums. Less common in Europe. Formula concentration 5–80% (often as aqueous base). Evidence base. Few clinical RCTs, mostly Korean. Evidence base is weaker than the ethanolic root extract. Safety. Hypoallergenic. Pregnancy and lactation – use with caution, as with the ethanolic ginseng root extract.
