PEG-30 glyceryl cocoate (INCI PEG-30 Glyceryl Cocoate) is a mild co-surfactant and emulsifier derived from coconut. In cleansers and gels it helps stabilize foam, softens the action of the main surfactants and solubilizes oils and fragrances in water-based formulas. It is a functional ingredient, not a care active. Its value is in improving the wash experience and its mildness, not in a biological benefit to skin. In that role it performs well and allows gentler cleansers. Systemic exposure from topical use is negligible, so it can be used in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is high: irritation and allergy risk are low, and as a surfactant it is mild, so it rarely dries the skin. Suitable for sensitive skin within a rinse-off product.
