This is a functional formula component tied to taste, not skin care. It does not moisturise, treat or bring any skin benefit: its role is sensory. So there is no point judging it by its effect on lips or skin, since it is not there for that. Applied topically or orally in these tiny amounts it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerability is good, with low irritation and allergy potential. It is suitable for lips and delicate areas. It is used in very small amounts, which lowers any chance of discomfort even further.
