Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Seed Oil is the oil from coriander seed, with a light texture. In cosmetics it is used as an emollient that softens skin and, through its natural aromatic components, also lends fragrance to the formula. It appears in oils, creams and products with a considered sensory profile. On efficacy, place it correctly. It is mainly an emollient and an aromatic element, a supporting and sensory component. It is not a concentrated active with proven clinical effect on wrinkles or pigment, and its value lies in softening and improving the use experience. For topical use in pregnancy and breastfeeding there are no risk signals at cosmetic concentrations. Systemic absorption from skin is minimal, so it can generally be used; if in doubt about aromatic oils, check with a doctor. Tolerance is good. Low irritation and low allergy potential, with very low comedogenicity (level 1). Because it contains natural aromatic components, very reactive skin or anyone allergic to essential oils can patch test first.
