A nourishing plant oil. Safe.
Peach kernel oil (INCI Prunus Persica Kernel Oil) is a light plant oil from the kernels, rich in unsaturated fatty acids. In formulas it works as an emollient: it softens, nourishes and leaves a smooth finish that eases tightness. On efficacy this is a supporting component for texture and comfort, not a corrective active. It supplies lipids to dry skin and improves feel, with no proven action on wrinkles or tone. Topically it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good: low irritation and allergy potential. Comedogenicity is moderate (level 2), so on oily or acne-prone skin the oil may show itself in very rich formulas; this is worth keeping in mind for such skin. Since it is a kernel oil, an individual reaction is possible but uncommon.
