In a formula it works as an emollient, co-emulsifier, and structuring agent: it gives creams and sticks a firm, waxy texture, stabilizes the emulsion, and softens skin. It is used in rich creams, balms, solid formats, and sun care. Use levels depend on the firmness the product needs. Pregnancy safety. The molecule is large, barely penetrates intact skin, and systemic absorption is negligible. No teratogenicity data of concern. It can be used during pregnancy and lactation. Tolerance.
