A functional solubilizer. Safe.
PPG-1 Trideceth-13 (INCI PPG-1 Trideceth-13) is a non-ionic surface-active ingredient with an ether structure. In a formula it works as a solubiliser: it helps dissolve oils, fragrances and oil-soluble actives in a water-based formula so the product turns out clear and uniform. On efficacy, this is a functional surfactant solubiliser, not a skincare active. Its job is to hold immiscible phases together and stabilise clear toners and micellar solutions. It has no independent effect on the skin, which is normal for an ingredient in this role. During pregnancy and breastfeeding it can be used. Applied topically in a product it is systemically negligible, with no restrictions. Tolerance is good. Its harshness is mild, the irritation potential is low, the allergy risk is low, and the ingredient suits sensitive skin. As a mild non-ionic surfactant it does not dry the skin at sensible concentrations and rarely causes reactions.

The Evigrade extension adds an evidence panel to iHerb, Sephora, Druni and 12 more stores. This ingredient and every other one in the product show evidence-tier, allergen risk and pregnancy/lactation flags at a glance.
PPG-1 Trideceth-13 is considered safe during pregnancy at typical cosmetic concentrations. Systemic absorption through the skin is minimal.
PPG-1 Trideceth-13 suits: normal, dry, combination, oily, sensitive.
