Hydrogenated Palm/Palm Kernel Oil PEG-6 Esters is a mild emulsifier that also acts as a co-surfactant. It binds oil and water to stabilise the formula and, in cleansers, helps lift dirt gently. This is a functional ingredient, not a skincare active. It corrects nothing on the skin; its job is emulsion stability and gentle cleansing. The role is well known in formulation, useful in both creams and rinse-off products. Applied topically there is no meaningful systemic absorption, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good: low irritation and allergy potential, suitable for sensitive skin. As a mild-harshness surfactant it is fairly kind to the barrier and usually does not dry the skin in normal use; still, with very frequent cleansing on already dry skin it is better not to push the frequency.
