A functional emulsifier. Safe.
PEG-90 Glyceryl Isostearate is a nonionic emulsifier. In creams and cleansers it binds water and oil, and thanks to its mild surfactant character it also helps gently lift oil and makeup residue. This is a functional ingredient, not a skincare active. On its own it does not hydrate or treat wrinkles or pigmentation; its job is formula stability and gentle cleansing. For topical use it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good, with low irritation and allergy potential and mild harshness. It fits well in delicate cleansers, makeup removers and formulas for sensitive skin.
