PEG-10 isostearate (same INCI) is a non-ionic emulsifier derived from isostearic acid. It blends water and oil and keeps the formula uniform and stable. On efficacy, this is a functional component, not a skincare active. It gives structure to the emulsion. The effect on skin depends on the other ingredients in the formula, not on this one. During pregnancy and breastfeeding it is fine to use topically. Tolerance is good: low irritation and low allergy potential, with a mild surfactant character. At usual levels it does not dry out skin and suits sensitive skin. An individual reaction is possible but uncommon.
