Its job is texture and emulsion stability, not treating the skin. Whether a cream feels pleasant to apply rests partly on ingredients like this one. During pregnancy and breastfeeding it can be used without restriction. Topically it has no systemic relevance. Tolerance is good: low irritation and low allergy potential, and a mild surfactant character that does not dry out skin in normal use. It suits sensitive skin. An individual reaction is unlikely.
