A moisturizing plant protein. Safe.
Hydrolyzed avocado protein (INCI Hydrolyzed Avocado Protein) is small protein fragments derived from avocado. In formulas it acts as a conditioning and moisturizing agent: it helps retain water and leaves skin softer and more flexible; in hair products it binds to the fiber. On efficacy this is a supporting component, moisturizing and conditioning. It improves skin feel and comfort, but it is not a corrective active with proven results on wrinkles or pigmentation. Topically it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is high: low irritation and allergy potential, suitable for sensitive and dry skin. No worrying comedogenic profile. Anyone with a known avocado allergy can patch-test first, though hydrolyzed protein rarely triggers a reaction.
