A nourishing functional emollient. Safe.
Hydrogenated Avocado Oil (INCI: Hydrogenated Avocado Oil) is avocado oil that has had hydrogen added to make it firmer and more resistant to oxidation. It nourishes and softens the skin and gives the formula body and structure. It is used in sticks, balms, rich creams and color products. On efficacy it is a functional emollient. It improves the comfort and texture of the product and leaves skin softer, but it is not an active aimed at wrinkles or dark spots. Its value lies in the feel and in giving the formula consistency. For topical use it has no systemic relevance and can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good, with low irritation potential and low allergy risk. Its comedogenicity is moderate (2 out of 5), so oily or acne-prone skin should watch how it behaves within the finished product, especially in rich formulas.
