A moisturizing plant hydrolysate. Safe.
Hydrolyzed Quinoa is quinoa protein broken down by hydrolysis into smaller peptides and amino acids. In cosmetics it works as a moisturizing and conditioning agent: it draws in water, forms a light film and leaves skin and hair softer and smoother. As an active it is supportive. Hydrolyzed proteins genuinely improve sensory feel, surface hydration and hair manageability, but they do not penetrate to rebuild collagen or deeply repair the fiber. Their value is conditioning and comfort. In topical use it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Irritation and allergy potential are low, so it suits sensitive skin. Most people tolerate it without reactions, though anyone with a known allergy to specific plant proteins should keep it in mind.
