Filtrate from fermentation of Arundinaria gigantea bamboo with lactic-acid bacteria. Contains silicon, amino acids, oligosaccharides. Marketed as a soothing and strengthening ingredient. Evidence is at the in-vitro level. Pregnancy-safe.
Topical application
DVery weak or conflicting data.
Evidence is in vitro only and by analogy with separately studied bamboo and lactobacilli. No skin RCTs for this INCI. A safe but marketing-overstated ingredient.
Lactobacillus/Arundinaria Gigantea Ferment Filtrate is the product of fermenting Arundinaria gigantea bamboo stalks (a species native to North America) with Lactobacillus bacteria. After 24-72 hours of fermentation the liquid is filtered. The filtrate contains silicates (bamboo is one of the best natural sources of organic silicon), amino acids, short peptides, oligosaccharides, and lactic-acid metabolites. INCI: Lactobacillus/Arundinaria Gigantea Ferment Filtrate. Marketing positioning. Manufacturers (often Korean) promote fermented bamboo as: 1. Source of organic silicon – allegedly strengthens skin and hair connective tissue. 2. Soothing ingredient – anti-inflammatory action via lactobacillus peptides. 3. Antioxidant – bamboo phenolic compounds. 4. Hydration booster – polysaccharides bind water. Actual evidence. Antioxidant activity of bamboo extracts and anti-inflammatory activity of lactobacillus lysate are documented in vitro. There are no clinical RCTs in humans for this specific INCI – manufacturers rely on separately studied bamboo and lactobacillus effects. This is weak evidence, especially since fermentation changes the chemical composition – the ferment is not the sum of its starting components. Pregnancy safety. Topical use is safe. Systemic absorption is absent. Skin tolerance. Low irritation and allergen potential. Non-comedogenic. Some users may react to the residual fermentation odor.

The Evigrade extension adds an evidence panel to Wildberries, Goldapple, Letu, iHerb, Sephora and 12 more stores. This ingredient and every other one in the product show evidence-tier, allergen risk and pregnancy/lactation flags at a glance.
Lactobacillus/Arundinaria Gigantea Ferment Filtrate is considered safe during pregnancy at typical cosmetic concentrations. Systemic absorption through the skin is minimal.
Lactobacillus/Arundinaria Gigantea Ferment Filtrate suits: normal, dry, combination, oily, sensitive.
