PEG-7 caprylic/capric glycerides (INCI: PEG-7 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides) are a non-ionic emulsifier and solubilizer derived from coconut glycerides. In formulas they bind oil and water and help oils and grime rinse away easily, common in cleansing oils and makeup removers. This is a functional ingredient, not a skincare active. Its value is in cleansing and keeping the formula uniform; it does not treat the skin. In cleansers it does its job reliably. Topically there is no meaningful systemic exposure, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good: irritation and allergy risk are low and surfactant harshness is mild. That makes it comfortable even in cleansers for sensitive skin, where it cleans without pulling at the barrier.
