Beauty of Joseon is a Korean skincare brand produced since 2016 by Goodai Global, based in Seoul. Its name points back to the Joseon era, and its formulas draw on hanbang, the traditional Korean approach to herbal skincare. The brand builds around eight plant ingredients cited in old Korean household encyclopedias: rice, ginseng, propolis, mugwort, green tea, red bean, green plum and Centella asiatica.
Most people know the brand through a handful of products. Relief Sun is a lightweight chemical sunscreen with rice extract and probiotics at SPF 50+ PA++++. Glow Serum pairs 60% propolis extract with 2% niacinamide. Revive Eye Serum combines ginseng and retinal.
