Bellis Perennis Flower Extract (INCI: Bellis Perennis Flower Extract) comes from the common daisy and provides saponins, flavonoids and other plant compounds. In a formula it is used to help even out tone and soothe the skin, mostly in brightening products. On efficacy, there is lab data on some effect on pigmentation, but clinical evidence on skin is limited. It is reasonable to treat it as a supporting component for brightness and comfort, without expecting marked lightening on its own. Topically its systemic relevance is negligible, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding without special restriction. Tolerance is good. Irritation and allergy potential are low, suitable for sensitive skin. As a botanical extract from the aster family, caution is wise in people allergic to that family; most show no reaction, and it is not linked to clogged pores.
